Welcome to Cardcatchers TCG!

What started as a childhood fascination back when Pokémon first debuted in the UK has grown into a full-circle passion project for the two of us.

Like many who grew up in the late '90s, I built an incredible collection as a kid—though between relentless playground trading, deck building, and actual tabletop battles, most of those original gems were lost or worn down over time. Mark, on the other hand, managed to hold onto the majority of his original binder, eventually preserving those nostalgic treasures through PSA grading.

In 2025, Mark reintroduced me to the modern TCG landscape, sparking a fresh journey to build a collection from scratch. My all-time favorite Pokémon has always been Jolteon, and these days, my ultimate chase card is the iconic Hidden Fates ETB Promo Tag Team (Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX).

Today, that passion has become a family affair: my two daughters and Mark’s son are now avid collectors themselves, opening packs and chasing their own favorite Pokémon right alongside us. (Though if you ask our wives, we’ve mostly just succeeded in turning our kids into highly effective accomplices to justify buying more cards!)

We originally launched our streams on Whatnot to connect with fellow enthusiasts, share the nostalgia, and source cards to build out our personal collections. Whether you’re a long-time collector, a parent passing the torch to the next generation, or just starting out, we’re glad you’re here.
